It Worked!

Or at least it would've. We didn't have the safety key to ignite the rocket from the launchpad. This was a disappointment but it didn't stop Sam. He just went home and put sparklers inside the engines and it worked I think.

Unfortunately my local shop doesn't seem to have sparklers so I couldn't set it off. I cant do it tonight either because I'm at work again. I think on Friday ill set one off with some sparklers if i can get a hold of them.

Overall I think I did a good effort and these rockets make good entertainment for events like Australia day if you can make a really good one.

D-Day

Today Me and Sam will be launching our rockets. We have chosen the TOP SECRET Jandakot launch pad area which is just off Acort Road parralel to Fraser. I think its has a vague hope of working becuase both rockets will probably just spiral out of control and crash or break or something. I know that sounds bad how i dont have any faith in it working but if you look at the odds it wont. Still it will be good filming and posting it on here exploding into flames so I cant wait to do it. So far the car is ready it is made out of lego with a small cave like thing in the back where the rocket will be slotted into. I have no idea what Sams rocket looks like but im sure itll be ok.

Anyway I will post further on this tommorow when its done and above is a video attached on my reaction when it is luanched!

Ambitious But Rubbish!

Yes now the car.

We didn't launch, kill, blow up or explode anything on Sunday because Jeff wasn't available and we kind of need him. So now i guess the original car will be made out of Lego which is sticky taped repeatedly to stop it falling apart like MJ. Because the launch controller thingy can only take 1 rocket at a time we will only use 1 rocket on the car and have 3 trials. personally i don think its gonna work very well the car will spin around in circles and flip or something but its worth a try.

But Me, My brother and some other people in year 11 and 12 have got an outrageous plan my brother came up with. It probably wont happen until next year or so but we are going to make an amphibious car and sail it to Rottnest so we will be the first people to travel to Rottnest in an amphibious vehicle!

Coffee Break

I didn't Do my car on Sunday but I will talk about that in another blog. This blog will be like a coffee break from my main topic and also to make up to 10 blog posts.

So The topic of this blog might be about how your weekend was. Ill go first, My weekend sucked! The most horrible part was Saturday where I had to do a 9 hour shift in hell (Red Rooster) It was so boring because I was there from 8am until 5pm and in a confined space like that with only 30 minutes break to get some food and relax. I should really get a new job because Red Rooster is the worst job ever and I'm sure most people can agree. Does anyone know anywhere in the booragoon area that's hiring? If So tell me in the comments. My Sunday was average all i did was practise driving in the morning then go into the city where i took in my PS3 to get it repaired as it has been broken for about a month or so.

Still havent got it!

Yes ive got the rockets and everything needed to power the car but i dont actually have a car yet! This is kinda of bad becuase the day that Sam and I will launch our rockets will be this Sunday now becuase the assignment is due next week. Hopefully i can find something to use before then. I cant really buy a car to use becuase im working tonight which sucks and I wont be in the mood to go to the shops tommorow after the carnival then I have to work again on Saturday which will be dreadfull becuase I have to work 8am - 5pm with only 30 minutes break which is really bad is all I can say.

Stage 1

Hey Guys. I have bought the engines for the car. They are just 3 rocket engines which cost $20 a pack. I bought them on Sunday and becuase Sam couldnt come with me I bought him some aswell but thats ok becuase Sam payed me back for them on Monday.

But I just found out about some alarming news for my rocket. When the rocket reaches a certain stage while it is burning an ejection charge is released. This means the rocket will pretty much explode and pieces of the rocket/car will go all over the neighbourhood.

Oh and i will be making the car this weekend I guess and Me and Sam will launch both ummm things on the same day at the same place at the same time and hopefully we will try to get his rocket to crash into my car cos that would be pretty good on film.

Going out

Hey Guys! On Sunday I will be going out to the city to buy the stuff required for the rocket. Sam will be joining me and Jeff, Luke (My brother Luke) and our old friend Hunter will be coming along for the hell of it.

Me and Sam will be spending around $30 - $40 on rockets and hopefully that will be enough to get it underway. Now with all this sorted i have to find a place to do this safely! I think the biggest concern is traffic and pedestrians. If the rocket car hits a pedestrian or car then they wont be to happy and neither will the local security or police. But never mind that I'll find somewhere to do it :D
